A Year In The Making
A Year in the Making: Marigold England Is Finally Live
A year ago today, our first binders and wallets arrived.
Today, a year later, Marigold England is finally live.
It has taken a lot longer than I originally expected. When those first products arrived, I certainly didn't think it would be another full year before the website was ready and everything was actually up and running.
But this is the reality of starting something from scratch.
There have been plenty of things to figure out along the way, products, packaging, printing, shipping, the website, systems, content and all the small details that you don't necessarily think about when you first decide to start a business.
And honestly, did I regret it at times?
Yes.
There were definitely moments where I wondered why I'd started this in the first place and whether I'd made things unnecessarily difficult for myself.
But looking back, there's not much point in wishing I had done things differently. It took the time it took, and I've learnt a lot along the way.
So rather than constantly thinking about how long it has taken or what I could have done sooner, I'm learning to be present and actually enjoy where we are now.
Because today, the website is live.
The products are here.
And Marigold England is officially up and running.
But launching the website isn't the finish line. In many ways, it's where the real work starts.
Now comes the part where we actually need to make people aware that Marigold England exists.
Social media, content, building an audience, getting our products in front of the right people and, hopefully, building a community around what we're creating.
That's the next chapter.
For now, though, I'm just going to appreciate the fact that something that started with an idea, and those first binders and wallets arriving a year ago today, is now a real, live business.
A year in the making.
And we're finally here.
